Diverted calls

I have been receiving calls from people, police officers and various threats from people who are trying to contact someone I have never met in my life. It seems this person has diverted their calls to my number. I have managed to find out what number this but vodacom refuses to remove these diverts as they need to speak to that person to get it done. My question is how am I to contact someone who doesn't use that number anymore and that I do not know. Surely they have a way to remove this divert as I am the one getting these calls and am expressing that they are a nuisance, I am asking for assistance as your customer and I use this number for business.
