Distressing Vodacom experience

My husband died in April 2016 and since May I have tried to get his contract transferred to my name and added to my Vodacom account.

I have called Vodacom more times than i can recall and each time they say I must go through the local branch - which is Knysna.

I have been into the branch around thirty times.

I was concerned that once the lawyers cancelled my husband's bank account the debit order would reject - which is exactly what has happened. The phone was suspended.

I have now paid (at the local Knysna branch) for two months contract on a phone which is suspended and I cannot use - through absolutely no fault or effort of mine.

All the paper work was submitted to Vodacom in May 2016 and again duplicates were submitted in November 2016.

Not one person from Vodacom has EVER returned my calls or emails.

What on earth do i need to do to have this contract transferred and have the suspension lifted?

I have experienced the most atrocious service - well actually I have not had any service - from Vodacom. It is absolutely unbelievable that a company like Vodacom takes over eight months to transfer a contract and suspends the phone when the problems clearly lie with Vodacom.

In fact, I am of the opinion that Vodacom should refund me for the periods the phone has been suspended as I had followed all their procedures and the fault does not lie with me - it appears to be in Vodacom's inability to follow their own internal procedures.

I am tired of hearing 'the transfer is in process.'

I have emailed the regional office in George. I have emailed the regional manager in George. No response. I have called the regional manager - not available - nor response!

Vodacom should offer endurance awards to clients.

The gestation period for a baby's birth is nine months - does transferring a Vodacom contract have to take the same period?

Come on Vodacome!

Where do I go to from here?
