DISSATISFACTION
On 2023/08/01 I had a problem with my contract laptop that I contracted in September 2022, its challenge was that it was very slow on operations, I then reported its fault to Vodacom customer services and they advice me to take to any vodacom walk-in store. I took it to Vodacom Vincent Park,East London of which there I was told by the technician that they don't deal with laptop repairs. I then went to another Vodacom in Beacon Bay, East London where a certain technician tried to assist as they thought that it might be needing software update. During that time I was telephonically in contact with a lady at Vodacom Customer and she was calling using ***, after the technician has tried the laptop was still not operating. The lady at the Customer Care asked if my laptop is insured so that I can claim from the insurance, I told them that even if it was insured I were not to claim from my insurance because it is still under warranty. On the following day she called me again using the same number of which I then requested to speak to her supervisor and she handed me to a rude person whom he identified himself as Sydney and it was about 13h03. This person told me that they are not dealing with laptops I must call the company (HP)that provides them with laptops of which I told him that I don't have contract with Hp the only people that I am contracted to is Vodacom and I am expecting to be assisted by Vodacom. He then told me I must look for the booklet inside the laptop where I must look for the contact numbers of Hp and he will assist once I provided that number and I told him that even that booklet is not with me as I am kilometers away from where I stay. I didn't get help and guidance from Vodacom, then I decided to take my laptop to an accredited repairer(Incredible Connection) where they sorted my laptop to an amount of R1179.00 where they informed me that my laptop needed for HDD to be changed to SSD. And I was desperately in need of the laptop during that ordeal for my work purposes as I was having no time since I was going to work out of my area. Then 2023/09/07 I managed to get the booklet and on it there is no contact numbers, I then called the Customer Care to request for that Sydney but they couldn't allocate him since they are different centers. I was then informed that the warranty of my laptop is being voided due to the fact that other third party has worked on it, but I didn't have any other choice because I didn't get help from Vodacom and I request refund and they must take care of any future faults until its warranty time lapses.
