Dispute Regarding Continued Billing After Contract Expiry
I entered into a 24-month contract with Vodacom, which reached its end on 31 July 2025. Despite the contract having expired, my account continued to be debited thereafter. As a result, I cancelled the debit order and successfully reversed two months’ payments, namely for September and October, as the application only allows reversals for a maximum of two months.
At no point was I contacted by Vodacom to confirm whether I wished to renew or continue with the contract. Furthermore, I have reviewed all correspondence and documentation provided to me, and there is no clause indicating that I was required to notify Vodacom prior to the contract’s expiry should I choose not to continue.
