Dismal laid back service from Vodacom (The next Eskom)

The service from Vodacom Fourways Mall is appalling to say the least and the staff very laid back. On the 30th of December 2022 I took my phone in for repairs (Hisense Infinity H50 - Chinese s****). The screen had separated from the rest of the phone body and the cable tore off. The agent saw there was no physical damage to the phone, the screen or the phone casing and cover but insisted that I had broken the phone. I requested the store manager and the store manager confirmed that the issue was a common problem on the Hisense Infinity H50 (I would definitely not recommend this device, it is also very slow). On the 4th of January 2023 the phone was sent in for advanced repairs as per the sms notification. On the 19th January 2023 I called the Fourways Vodacom Repair centre and spoke to Francina who indicated that there was no updates on the repair status provided on the 4 January 2023 sms. Today the 23rd January 2023 there has still been zero update to the repair status although Francina (the agent I spoke to on the phone) had indicated to me that she will ensure the job card for my repair will be personally handed to the manager of the store by her on the 19th January 2023. I gave Vodacom the benefit of the doubt as I was on leave and the device in question is a business device and further to that I was told the repair would be between 7 – 14 days. Now that I am back at work this device is required urgently and I am now at the mercy of Vodacom to speed track my device repairs. The impact of this Hisense H50 (Chinese s****) has been drastic, the store says that all the content will be cleaned off the phone and there is no way to backup any information and this is a massive loss to me as this is a business device and contains a lot of valuable information. The most disappointing part is that the device was only 9 months old when the screen separated from the rest of the phone (The first time I have ever experienced this since I have owned a cellular device). Vodacom please wake up. (Job Number ***3)

Good day Vodacom. Thank you for providing me with feedback. I was told on sms that I have to collect my device at the HICELL VSHOPS. There is no address for this store provided and no cantact details either. I searched for this store online and found out that this store is somewhere in Centurion. My device was sent in for repair at Fouwarys, Centurion is 36km Away from Fourways Mall. Am I supposed to go to centurion to fetch my device?

Good morning. Thank you Vodacom for assisting very promptly with my complain and making the effort to turn things around this is much appreciated. I have since collected my device from the Fourways Store and the screen is working perfectly, the repair was at no cost due to the product being of poor quality. I am now a satisfied customer and would still like to thank Vodacom for their effort and just say that with a little bit of improved communication and customer service all of this could have been avoided.
