I was contacted by Vodacom congratulating me on being a loyal and good client for 25years and to show their appreciation they want to give me a free phone to say thank you! The person who called was full of sweet talk informed me I was due for an upgrade and when I told him I wasn't aware and that I would go to the vodashop in Vredenburg where I usually go he said I am a very special customer of 25years and they normally contact all special customers to show their appreciation by giving them a special deal and a reduced subscription seeing that I am a pensioner. The way and speed with which the person presented this to me I feel was unprofessional and it was not to say thank you but rather to get a deal, because why would Vodacom degrade me by sending me an "entry level" phone instead of upgrading me to a better phone. This is humiliating to say the least and I no longer want to be a Vodacom customer if this is their way of doing business. WHY BE DISHONEST AND LIE TO PEOPLE TO GET BUSINESS! If this was a honest deal they should have explained to me that it was an "entry level" phone and given me a choice whether I wanted it or not but instead I was forced into a deal that I didn't want. WHY WOULD I DOWNGRADE FROM A IPHONE6 TO A SAMSUNG N2 (CORE)?
