Dishonest Vodacom employee
Upgraded my Contract to the February 2021 to the New S21 device. Love the device.
The problem i have is with the person who done the upgrade for me in store. ( dont have his name at hand but will get it off the invoice ).
1. When i done the upgrade on the 082 number, This guy told me its my full term so i dont have to pay for another device on my invoice. basically in a case of early upgrade i wanted to avoid the additional cost. He confirmed my full 24months was done so no additional fees for old device.
2. When i insisted to him that my 060 number uprades in July 2021, he tells me no its only in december. Even after i told him i checked on your website.
So today i get the SMS saying my installment for my contracts is R2300+. instead of just the R70 extra on my normal bill of R1600+-. I called the Service desk and lovely lady on the phone confirmed i upgraded 1 month before the term of 24months was done.
WHY DID THAT FOOL IN STORE LIE TO ME??? JUST TO MAKE THE SALE??? because if he told me i have 1 month left i would have waited now im paying more than i budgeted for for the month for contracts for myself and family
This is so pathetic and even if its just 1 month i need to pay the old device its R500+ not budgeted for.
That dude should be flagged for being dishonest cause we spoke about upgrade dates for good 15 20min and i told him i do not want to upgrade before the time and he still sold me the device.
Looks like i should have checked myself since some of the people vodacom employ is dishonest
