Dishonest dealings forcing a contract renewal

In September 2025 I was called by an agent informing me that the discount package I was on is about to expire. At that time I was on a month to month contract already. To prevent the increase the agent suggested I upgrade to a cheap Huawei phone which has a simi**** monthly fee to what I was paying. I specifically asked the agent if I will be locked into a new contract period then since I did not intend uising the Huawei phone, which she responded no, I can still upgrade anytime. In May this year my phone started giving issues and I tried to upgrade and was informed that I am only due for an upgrade in 2028, contrary to what the agent told me in Sep 2025. I raised this issue with the call centre in May and was informed by them that they will go back to the recording to confirm that I was mislead by the agent. This was supposed to take 3 to 5 business days then they will get back to me with response. After receiving no response for 3 weeks, I called in again and was informed that it was escelated and will receive a response within 3 to 5 business days. It is now 3 months later and still no response. This is shocking service to a loyal client of 15 years. I expect a response from Vodacom within the next week, and to invalid contract entered into bssed on your lies to be cancelled immediately, otherwise I will be left with no option but to move to a different network.
