Disgustingly Horrible and Pathetic (Rather NO) Service
I was unemployed for 15 months from 01/11/2018 till 31/01/2020. In this period I was fortunate enough to always have sufficient funds to pay my most important accounts, of which Vodacom was one. I only fell behind by 2 or 3 months during this whole period. As soon as I was notified that I got a job again, I contacted Vodacom to arrange repayment of the arrears, which the call centre was not prepared to do unless I made a once off payment of the full outstanding amount, which I did not have. However, from my first new salary I started paying their account with a little extra to start repaying the arrears. They suspended all my services on all 3 the numbers linked to my account. I cannot even send a please-call-me. During this period the account on 2 of my numbers ran out. Vodacom was not prepared to change these numbers to pay-as-you-go, since my account was in arrears. They tried to force me to pay all the arrears at once in order to change these 2 numbers. I queried this on 19/05/2020 and was assured by Jeremy Meyer that he will sort my request out and provide feedback. To date I have had no joy and no form of feedback, not even to let me know that they are still working on my request. Then they notify my son that my account was handed over, after I informed them numerous times to contact me, not my children. I even tried to contact the lawyers involved with the recovery, to no avail. I don't get answer from Vodadcom or the lawyers they asked to recover the arrears. Now, where do I go?? You cannot get through to any form of management in that company and no-one seem to be able to take responsibility for anything. If you phone, COVID-19 is always used as excuse for pathetically poor service. I will warn everyone to avoid this pathetic company. The irony is that I have the funds now to repay all the arrears at once, but they don't seem to be interested in getting their money.
