Disgusting service from Vodacom FTTH in KZN

I ordered a contract for 100mb fibre data per month at 10mbps on 10th August 2018 via Vodacom , Junction Mall, Ballito. The contract was confirmed and I received an order SR 180 ********** 34. The installation and connection was completed after delays and much frustration on Friday 17th August. At the time the technician had problems locating the fibre cable in the underground system that had been provided for on the Estate on which we reside. Vodacom have a virtual monoply on this estate and according to the installation technician he had completed in excess of 300 fibre connections to the residents on this Estate. After completion of my installation, the technician hurriedly tested the speed on his computer and assured me that the upload was running at 5mbps and the download at 10mbps. After they left we have had constant problems logging into the internet and my speed tests have produced variable speeds which do not conform with the speed that I contracted for. I have reported this problem to the support desk on ********** with no success. I reverted to Mishalen Naidoo of the selling branch at Vodacom Junction mall, Ballito. Despite his numerous assurances that he has escalated my problem to the regional manager, I have not had a call. On two occasions i received calls from an unknown vodacom number, both of which I missed due to other commitments. When I attempted to call the number back, it advised me that the number did not exist. Subsequent investigation confirmed that this was a number used by Vodacom support staff. It is clearly apparent that Vodacom operate a phantom service where the identity of the staff calling is hidden from customers. What a diabolical situation. Some 3 weeks after my installation I have still had no formal contact from the support team at Vodacom. Even MISHALEN NAIDOO at the Vodacom Junction Mall in Ballito has confirmed that he will lose his job if he discloses numbers or contact details for of managers or superiors. He did advise me that regional manager for FTTH is Jayshree Rooplall, however he refuses to give me Ms Rooplall's contact details. Surely this conduct is in contravention of consumer protection rights and legislation.

This has become an absolute farce. A gentleman Reyaad Soeker from Vodacom FTTH emailed me and requested a speed test be sent to Vodacom. This was done and the test confirmed the unacceptable speed of below 1mbps compared to the contracted speed of 10mbps. Nothing has been done to follow up. I have advised Vodacom that it is probably the router which they supp**** and installed. They simply ignore complaints. Vodacom have a monopoly on this estate for fibre installations and they do not care about the consumer and his/her rights.
