Disgusting Service

On the 17th of June 2020, i called Vodacom upgrades as i was due for an upgrade. I completed the upgrade process and was happy with the new contract upgrade offered, the "My Red 10 GB, 150 minutes". The new contract was to commence on the 1st of July 2020. All was fine.

On 26th June, i was informed that retrenchments will be starting at work due to the unstable and uncertain times faced due to the current pandemic we are facing. This was a real shock and I had to make changes to my life and financial commitments.

Due to this i decided to call Vodacom to cancel the new contract as i had time before the new contract came into effect. On the 27th June at 10:35, i called Vodacom's cancellation department and spoke to consultant "Previous", who advised that i can change my contract which will suite my needs. I listened to her offer and found it reasonable and decided to go for it. The new contract was a "U choose flexi" which was perfect. She then advised that i need to cancel the "Myred"contract first, then the new contract can be loaded. Precious told me she will call me back on Sunday (28th June) to process the new contract. I agreed and was then transferred to the "Orders" department to cancel. I was then transferred to the "orders" department to complete the cancellation of the Red Select which was to commence on the 1st July 2020. I spoke to a consultant "Keith" who confirmed the contract was cancelled. I was positive this was taken care off and sure the "Myred" contract was cancelled and was happy to finales the "U choose flexi" contract. On Sunday (28th) i waited for Vodacom (Precious) to call to finalise this but unfortunately this did not transpire. I was really disappointed. I tried calling Vodacom on the 29th but after all the voice prompts, the called cut.

On the 30th, i found that the "Myred"contract was still active on my name. Totally frustrated, i called Vodacom again ( 7 times) and was put through to an automated system and advised via sms's a consultant will contact me. I spoke to Thembile and was told no such cancellation took place and that the Myred contract was activated. This shocked and distressed me due to my work situation. I was then told again this will be escalated to the cancellation department and only then the U choose flexi contract can be loaded.

This service is totally unacceptable and pathetic. I have been a loyal, faithful and financially clear customer to VODACOM, BUT i still receive this type of service. It is extremely unfair that VODACOM does not react to peoples needs in this unfortunate times.

PLEASE ASSIST.

My matter has not been resolved since. I received a call, 2nd july, advising of a collection but to date, 10th july, nothing has happened. I am still been billed for the contract I wished to cancel.
Unacceptable.

As per your initial response, this matter was to be resolved in 7 to10 working day. To date I have not received any finalisation. Also, I received a statement, showing I am still on the contract which I cancelled and now sit with a bill of R 2,300. This is upsetting as I did mentioned and highlighted to Vodacom that I have been retrenched and cannot afford this. PLEASE URGENTLY ASSIST.
