Disgusting Insurance claim Support
My cell phone was ****** In June 2022 and I called the claim center of Vodacom. I battled to get trough to them to lodge a claim and spent on average of between 15 - 25 minutes of holding on to speak to a consultant. When I did get through there was no clear laid out process given to me as to what documents I would to have complete to lodge a claim. I was merely assisted as to have my phone blocked and then to to go to the police and get a case number. When I arrived at the police station I was then asked for am ITC number which Vodacom failed to give me. I then had to contact Vodacom and get an ITC number and go back to the police station. I then gave the police the the ITC number and my affidavit. Not once did Vodacom tell me that I need to have a copy of the affidavit which must be then sent back to Vodacom with my case number. Guess what, today, the 20th June 2022 I phoned Vodacom with my case number as told by the previous consultant that I would need. The lady I spoke to asked me for my ITC number which I gave her then she proceeded to ask me for am IMME number, the phone was cut off and the consultant did not phone me back. I the had to phone Vodacom back and hold on for another 15 minutes before my call was answered by a women by the name of Cecil. She then started from scratch asking my my name, cell number, ITC number the whole lot from scratch. She the asked me for my case number which I had and also a copy of the affidavit, this was NEVER told to me before by the previous consultants. The lady, Cecile told me that she would refer this matter to her supervisor and would call me back by the close of business today the 20th June, guess what....still waiting. In my working career I was Managing Director for an International Insurance Brokerage firm and never had I had such disgusting service. I will be reporting this matter to the Insurance Ombudsman, Registrar of Insurance and Social Media about the lack of controls and assistance Vodacom Insurance give to clients and how they leave them hanging with their claims. Not finished with this matter
