Disgusting Customer Service and Rude, *********** Staff
An email sent to Vodacom that seemed to be of no importance to the company regarding a service I as client paid for but was unable to use Good day This is the second time I'm contacting Vodacom in one week about problems Vodacom caused me. On Friday 1 April 2016 I made a payment of R1277.00 at the Vodashop in Waterfall Mall Rustenburg. The total amount for all four of my contract numbers which includes my recently migrated Autopage number (082322****). The consultant at the Vodashop and Autopage neglected to inform me at any point that my Autopage contract was not supposed to be paid for there. This caused my Autopage account to fall in arrears. If I understand correctly the only way for me to fix this mistake that Vodacom and Autopage made is to go to the Vodashop again and state my situation after which the Vodashop will refund Autopage's portion of the payment and I will have to go to an Easypay pay point to pay Autopage. This entire process seems to have been designed to cause as much unnecessary inconvenience as possible to the customer. I am not willing or able to drag through this process for Vodacom or Autopage. On Monday 4 April 2016 I contacted Vodacom about missing data on 082322**** since my migration from Autopage. I explicitly instructed Vodacom to contact me via email ONLY as I am not able to take phone calls presently and Vodacom showed a complete disregard to that simple request phoning me the very next day. The problem still hasn't been resolved because the Customer Service Consultant that contacted me seems to be ignoring my emails and he gave me useless contact information for Autopage leaving me stranded once again since Vodacom and Autopage both seem to be unreachable. (00EP~PATQ) On Friday 8 April 2016 (today) I attempted to upgrade online but encountered what I thought to be a technical error. I phoned Vodacom for assistance and learned that I "may not upgrade because my account is in arrears". (see paragraph 1, line 1, and attached document for proof of payment). It was explained to me after extensive transfers and dead ends that I must once again go back to the Vodashop with proof of payment and have them allocate the payment to my respective numbers. I once again am not willing or able to drag through this process for Vodacom. From my point of view, this is something that Vodacom should do automatically seeing as I've never had to beg Vodacom to allocate payments. I was also made to understad that as a result op this payment "not reflecting on [your] system" and the debit order that returned a R 100.00 fine has been added to my account due to the incompetence of some Vodacom employees. I expect to have this sorted out as soon as possible to prevent further action from my side. Contact me for any further information. On top of this my service was suspended even though I paid, in other words Vodacom was *****ing my money. And this "Payment Discrepancy" has negatively affected my Credit Bureau score. The consultants and managers I spoke to on the phone were less than helpful only making promises to contact me and never doing so (Reynold, Manager in Accounts Department pleaded with me to "Please allow me to assist you sir, give me a chance" he PROMISED that he would phone me with feedback before or at 17:00 the same day), and one who's name and surname I have was exceptionally ill mannered and shouted at me on the phone. Vodacom, to this date, has not done a single thing about this.
