Disgusted with Vodacom
Highly disappointed in Vodacom.
I was ****** at gun point on the 21st October 2019 at 18:00 with my two year old son and they took my phone etc.
I called Vodacom that evening to have my phone blacklisted. They advised that they were unable to assist me because on 4th of October ( after 6+ years) of having a contract with them, I has asked to change my number to pre-paid.
As a result of asking to be on a pre-paid contract, Vodacom advised that they see it as an open upgrade and cannot black list my phone. The consultant advised that she would send it to back office and have the request cancelled and then in 48 hours I will be able to have my number blacklisted.
I called back in 48 hours and there was nothing done.
I then advised them that as a matter of urgency I need them to cancel the upgrade and do what they need to do to have my phone black listed. STILL nothing done when I called on the 28th of October.
I was then advised on the 28th of October , that nothing was sent to the "back office" and nothing has been done to assist me. The consultant on the 28th of October told me I was given the incorrect information. I can only call back on the 01st November when the change has been made from contract to pre-paid and then I can blacklist the phone.
I have now been without a phone for 3 weeks with NO help at all from Vodacom with regards to black listing the phone.
When following up today 05 November, they have finally backlisted the phone but now have advised that the change from Contract to pre- paid has not been done.
Vodacom now expects me to pay R1300.00 for November ( which they have already taken off my account) and also R1300.00 for December because I didn't request the change to pre-paid by 01 November.
I am very disappointed at the incompetence of Vodacom and I want a refund for November as well as the matter sorted as soon as possible.
