DISGUSTED, DISAPPOINTED, DISMAYED, DISGRACE, DE-VODACOM

I have always been a loyal supporter of Vodacom but I am on the verge of saying Cell C here I come. Just spent 43mins 56 sec to resolve a problem that has persisted since early April. Anger is an understatement/an insult to how I feel about Vodacom right now. The best way to explain myself is to copy/paste an e-mail sent to Vodacom documents - as mentioned for a problem that started early April.

OK - Vodacom - The solution is simple. You Know it.

From: Lewellyn Petersen [mailto: ********** **********
Sent: Wednesday, June 22, 2016 11:07 PM
To: ********** /> Subject: SR No - A2-1OXT-QHUTH

Good day

Attached are the documents required to complete my query regarding the repair of my Lenovo Tablet.

3 months down the line and I have not received a call or clarity on my query.

Just under 3 months ago (early April) I took my Lenovo Tablet to Vodacom, The Glen, Alberton for repair to be done to the charging point which had stopped charging.

After testing it , Rico at the store took in the tablet.

I persistently visited the store for update as no one had the decency to keep me updated.

After 3 weeks – I revisited the store and was told by the manager that the repair could not be done – she handed me your brochure with contact details of Lenovo – I was to called them to invoke the warranty for the repair.

Platinum warranty then arranged for a courier company to collect the tablet.

I then received a invoice from “Let Me Repair” – for R24 476.87 (should I laugh or cry).

With this information I contacted Vodacom on the 13 May 2016 – creating the above query.

Again I have made a number of calls to customer care, with no help received not even a courtesy call to inform me (a small but long - time client) of any developments.

Today I call and get told that my query is closed but no resolution noted on the system.

The customer care person Casey, was at least helpful to a point, checking up on this, therefore the attached documents now sent.

Should this query not be handled as a matter of urgency, I will, considering the unreasonable time already taken, report this to whatever form of media available to me. I am to say the least extremely angry and I am sure you can appreciate how patient I have been.

I look forward to an amicable solution.

Regards

Lewellyn Petersen

********** 057
