Disgusted by the service at Bodacom Nicolway
In October 2019, I discovered that my Vodacom account was unusually high. After going through my statement, I then discovered that I have been charged for a handset which I do not have, since I buy my handset cash
When I followed up, I discovered that a ********** upgrade was done on my number, and it was done at Vodacom Nicolway.
I contacted Nicolway three times before I was given the relevant person to speak to. Each tome I called the branch manager was in meetings and would never call me back as promised. Finally I managed to speak to the lady in the shop who was not the branch manager, but I was tired of waiting, and I gave her the whole story.
To cut a long story short, indeed the upgrade was **********, the branch manager finally sent me the documents of the upgrade on my request, and everything from the letter written, to the photo on my ID, and wait for this, the number to call for verification was also ********** ( this is what left me speechless)
I was requested to send an affidavit, my ID, police case number, I sent everything. To this date, nobody at Vodacom finds it necessary to call me and give me an update. The last I heard was that the matter is escalated to their forensic department. Six months down the line, no update, but they don’t fail to debit me for the same handset in question every month. R536 may seem like nothing to them, it’s a lot of money for me, that I could be saving if I had They are robbing me Shame on you Vodacom Nicolway.
That for me is theft, from vodacom Nicolway, and it disgusts me. I have been with Vodacom 2009, in my personal capacity, but from 1994/5 through my husband. I want to consider myself as a loyal customer, but I can see that loyalty means nothing to these big companies. Nothing whatsoever.
