Disgraceful Vodacom

My name is Lineo, In 2019 I wrote a letter to cancel the contract I had with Vodacom after it expired and requested that I be moved to being a prepaid customer. The 24 months contract money/premium was deducted from my bank account by means of a debit order. I became a prepaid customer since then to date. It happened that I became interested in buying myself a property and I was sure that I qualified for a bond close to R1,4million confirmed by my bank. After seeing the property, signed the deal and app**** and started the process with the bank as usual with the hope that I will be assisted, to my surprise my home application was rejected and to date never got to know the reason behind. I went to my bank app to apply for the second time but only to get the message that I am a very risky person and got to see the message that I was blacklisted by Vodacom for an outstanding debt of R1,97 cents. I asked myself a question, how could a big world known company like Vodacom blacklist/dent my name with a mere R2 when they were getting their money via a debit order. They never even communicated to me regarding this small change. I phoned Vodacom in September 2020 to clear this matter and to get an explaination on how they left me owing R2, but no valid reasons were given to me. Vodacom promised to clear my name with the credit bureau and that it will take 21 days to do that. On the 27/10/2020 I called them again and spoke to Lefa from the legal/collection department who also could not give the reasons of how they got to the R2 & promised to send the clearance letter to the credit bureau and myself. Today the 28/10 no letter was sent to either myself and the credit bureau organization. I am really disappointed on how this matter is not resolved and wasting my phone calls which costs more than what they blacklisted me for. I lost the opportunity of the apartment I was interested in because of their miraculously errors. I will never trust Vodacom again, let alone giving anyone their reference. Reference number I***.
