Disgraceful theft of my mobile by Vodacom
Well it's now nearly six months since Vodacom took my functioning, under-warranty device and s****ped it without discussion to use as spares hour they're own convenience. After posting my last damning review in early February, the Vodacom shop phoned me. I explained that I would be happy to take a second-hand Nokia to replace my precious phone that they trashed, hooch I really felt was more than a generous gesture on my part, in an effort to resolve this. They promised to look into that and try to get me one, but predictably I've heard nothing further. Theft. Meanwhile they messaged me that this was resolved - I'm still without a phone! What a cheek! My phone was under warranty and I've still got nothing, they've taken and kept my phone for their own questionable purposes. They also claim that they trashed my phone after approval from me - definitely untrue. I've invited them to show me some evidence that they in any way contacted me to discuss this, but needless to say they've got no proof at all. I don't have words for this despicable theft by a large wealthy company. It seems they simply can't afford to do the right thing. I certainly didn't sign away my rights to my phone when I handed it in, but it seems they can help themselves to whatever they like and don't consider themselves accountable, and there is nothing that I as a customer can do to make them accountable.
I suspect that someone didn't do his job properly, made a mistake and stuffed up. But instead of apologising and making it right, they're now trying to cover it up.
