************** against debt review status - unable to upgrade
I have 5 contracts with vodacom and have been a valued customer of vodacom for many years. I have recently app**** for voluntary debt review and my debt councillor informed me that i will be able to continue my contract with vodacom since their services are included in my budget. Recently I app**** for an upgrade and was told that I can upgrade to the highest red level but cannot get the phone I want. This is unacceptable when the phone i want is not even as much as the highest red level installment per month.
When I queried my case with admin@coactivate, to look at my vodacom portfolio the agent, Mr Lennon Samduth, didn't even bother to contact me or ask me for banking statements to assess whether I can afford or not. He merely just advised me to contact my nearest vodacom shop.
When I went to the vodacom shop they told me I dont have finance attached to my portfolio because the agent tagged me as having a bad score. Something the agent could have told me without me having to go all the way to the shop.
This is unacceptable vodacom. I now will have to cancel two contracts of R1000 each when it expires next year, because I will not be able to upgrade to the device I want.
I feel as though vodacom is discriminating against me because of my debt review status.
So sad.
