Discriminating against current customers under debt review.

I have been a client with Vodacom for years. At one stage had 4 account there. Reach the top level at vodacom.

Many contracts under my name.

Had to close 3 accounts due to several complains and disappointments. I kept 2 ***) & ***) on pay as you go and let one totally been closed. The other one was still on contract and will be finished by February 2024 ***) - it was a Guru laptop with 20 GB day and 20 GB night.

But as luck and circumstances had it I'm now under debt review (for 2nd time and I request it myself and were never forced), yet for years vodacom wasn't part of the debt review - I have placed it as one of my monthly debit orders which I pay monthly without fail. It went off monthly per debit order so there is no way that it could be skipped.

According to the debt review companies if you have placed it (your cellphone account) on your monthly expenses when you app**** for debt review, and you have proven that you can pay the account, then you are allowed to upgrade your contract, you are only not allowed to open a new contract.

The thing is I did not put my vodacom account or insurance company santam under debt review because there was no point in it and there was nothing wrong paying it.

So, my question to you VODACOM - Why am I not allowed to upgrade?

I did ask to upgrade from the Guru laptop to the Apple Iphone 15 (blue) 128GB. I know I can afford it, I'm not stupid.

Please explain to me why you like to break the rules?

I app**** with Mdalusi ***) to be removed from debt review from Debt buster *** / ***) via Hyphen ***) after 2 years to start paying my own account because debt review hampers me in getting a contract for a flat or study loans for my child 19 in need of the phone for studies.

You can see what I am able to pay each and every month when I pay my account - so why did you decline my upgrade for a phone.

I even want to add up later with a play station 5.

Who are to to discriminate ?
