Discount vouchers falsely promises to encourage a client to take an upgrade

I took out an upgrade with vodacom for one of my lines. On upgrading the line I was told I would receive aR1000 voucher to use at Checkers and aR500 voucher to use at Dischem. I was told by a consultant that once the device is delivered, then I will receive the vouchers through an sms.

The device was delivered three weeks ago , no voucher sms came through. I called vodacom customer care and enquired about the voucher. The lady who assisted me told me the device I took does not come with the voucher. This is uncalled for cos it seems as if vodacom makes empty promises to customers to lure them to take upgrades under false promises. The vouchers made the deal worth it and they contributed in my decision to take the upgrade.

I am requesting vodacom to assess the situation and redress it as I am expecting the vouchers I was promised by one of their consultants.
