Disappointing service from Vodacom

I have been a loyal Vodacom customer for the past 6years and was highly dissappointed when I recently discovered

that Vodacom has being deducting more than the stipulated and agreed contract amount.

On the 17 of May 2016 I tried purchasing data online as my allocated data for the month had run out. I tried to do an online purchase of data that evening but was unsuccesful. It was than that I noticed my May Statement and realised that I had been billed for an additional R249.50.

on the 18 of May I had a telephonic discussion with customer services only to be told that it was an error and the R249.50 will be cancelled. To date i have made numerous calls quering as to when the amount will be cancelled and have had no joy from the situation. I made another call on Friday the 27 of May 2016, and was told that the error had to be passed through the auditors. I explained that I am concerned that the extra R249.50 will be debited of my account at the end of the month and was told there is NOTHING they can do until the auditors pass it.

# firstly isnt it considered ***** to debit sumbody's bank account without permission . yes if I had made additional calls or went over my stipulated contract amount than i understand im liable to pay. but this is an error on Vodacoms side . and how does an error like this even occur.

# secondly the reason i went online to purchase data was because of a promotion I had seen . (1G data for R79) once of purchase. since im a contract customer (lets not forget i used up my data and was willing to support vodacom by purchasing more data) i coudnt purchase the promotion. So please tell me where is the loyality?who is the customer and who is the service provider . ?

Im seriously re-considering changing my network provider and WOULD NEVER recomend Vodacom to anybody. after all its my money and without a legal agreement, money shouldnt be deducted off my account. And i shouldnt be thrown from pillar to post to get MY Money back.
