Disappointing Lack of Guidance

I have the most frustrating cellphone in the world and have been waiting to start my contract for 3 months.

I was told I needed to wait for my previous contract to conclude before I could take one out in my own name, a long three months from the upgrade date but understandable.

I app**** online on Sunday and was told I would be contacted by the call center in 24 hours. 35 hours later I called them.

I was told he would submit my application for me. It was declined at the credit check. I have since learned you need to have a utility bill in order to qualify? When Sebastian asked me about my bills and accounts, he did not mention this before submitting, nor is this apparent on the website. He also couldn't tell me where I failed the check. I found the entire interaction rather frustrating and this lack on information and guidance for a first time contract was saddening.

I can now only apply again in 60days which means I am unable to do my job without a new phone. I will have to take a contract out with another company and one which does offer the guidance I feel a customer deserves when starting out. Always been a huge supporter of Vodacom.

It should be covered in their FAQ
