Disappointing Customer Service from Vodacom

My Vodacom fibre has been off from saturday morning last week. There was no sms to alert me why the network went down as vodacom normally does. I called in Monday and Thursday requesting when it would be fixed to be told we dont know. Just now I called in again to be told the same thing the base station for Vumatel is down and then something along the lines of Vumatel is making some changes and the call went dead. I called in again and chatted with a very abrupt person. Unfortunately, I did not get his name. To add to my frustration the person told me "you will be billed as per usual and a credit given thereafter. You are welcome to cancel your contract and that Vodacom's customer's always come back as we offer the lowest deals." When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told by the person "I am working from home", although I could here other representatives talking around him with clients. He further went on to say he "could" log a call with a Supervisor but the turnaround time for a Supervisor to call back would be long. I have no words to such bad customer service and Vodacom representation. I have been with this network for over a decade and am seriously disappointed in the service and the fact that I am not able to get a straight answer. I honestly feel Vodacom's no care stance will damage your reputation and customer retainment in the long run. Added to that call centre agents who are more willing to fight with customer's than assist and resolve issues wont help either.
