Disappointed for a year & Being ****** by Vodacom

Hello,

i have a long time complaint with the service I received for the past year with vodacom. I have been phoning vodacom, been in to see the people at the Newcastle mall etc and yet I now revert to posting on here because I have had no success. Last year I upgraded my contract to a New CAT phone in Newcastle Mall vodacom. There I received an adapter for my SIM card, which was 2nd hand and a spare that was used around the shop. This was inserted by the man who assisted me at the shop, Andre was his name. I went home , switched the new phone on and it kept saying no SIM card. So I had to take my sim out and insert it back to my blackberry to transfer all my data etc. I struggled to get it out as it was stuck because it had an extra piece of plastic on the side. This was jammed on the pins inside the phone. Eventually after a few more months i tried to set my phone up again and yet still the same issue, so I drove to Newcastle again and handed in my NEW phone and explained the situation. They took the phone in and it started out being said that I damaged the phone. The phone was eventually sent away and I was told I had to pay for it all, which was just under R1000. This upset me even more as I hadn't once used the phone, which I'm sure you can see on your computers. So I started fighting about this via the phone and emails, and yet my phone is still sitting at vodacom and I have been paying for a phone I've never used!! So I hope by putting this on hello Peter I will receive some sort of response and when I will be receiving my new phone, I feel I have been ****** of my money and trust in vodacom.... Last year August I received a call from vodacom to say I will receive a response to which I am still waiting... Since October I have been in contact and have many references with promises of head office responding to me as well. I have even said that vodacom can just change the phone, it does not have to be a CAT phone. So it has led to this, and I would appreciate it if I get a decent response and an explanation as to why I have been using my old phone for over 3 years, which hardly works and I am paying over R1000 every month, which includes this new phone that hasn't ever been used and I am sure you could see this on your network. If you require any references etc, I have them and you can ask me for them when I hear from someone at vodacom.. My account number at vodacom: I***.

After all this time.... VODACOM gave me one month free subscription, a reference no: EC-041Y-20SPX2, made me travel to neighboring town at my own expense 3 times. 1st time because I had to go book the faulty phone in in person ( it was at vodacom) Upon my arrival they had a power failure and I was informed that they will book it in for me....after I was told by Cassandra that I have to go there in person. 2nd time after I received an sms that my phone was repaired and when I arrived at vodacom, the phone was not repaired because it was uneconomical to repair. 3rd time also after I received an sms that my phone was repaired and ready. You guessed it....it was not done. Cassandra offered me 2 months free subscription....I only got one month! Best part of it all.........wait for it.......I'm due for an upgrade in 6 months! That's how long this has been dragging on! Good guess where they can $@$ the upgrade! Worst worst pathetic service I've ever encountered! Blue vodacom should go with the blue lights! For the past 4 days my previous contract phone's speaker went. My phone is my work! This means that I now have to go and purchase a new phone today. I've been polite, tried to settle this in a respectable manner...but I'm done now. This has been going on since October 2015. Catch a wake up vodacom
