Disappointed customer - Vodacom

I've been with vodacom for so long and every time I have to upgrade my contract, I always struggle. This time around was the worst. I did my upgrade on-line and nothing happened. I then called their upgrade department, and did my upgrade over the phone. I was told that the system is slow and as soon as my contract has been upgraded they will contact me, which never happened. I then went to Vodacom shop at Mall of Africa, I was told the same thing- the system is slow but once the upgrade has gone through, they will contact me to come collect my device.

It's been a month now since I've been attempting to upgrade my contract, with no luck. I am so disappointed and have resorted to canceling my contract. I could not even get assistance to cancel my contract, I was again told that the system is unavailable to re-calculate the outstanding balance on my account.

At the end of each call, you are asked to rate the service, but they never follow up on any negative/bad feedback they receive from the customer.

I tried calling the on-line upgrade again, and instead of helping me, they just trasferred my call to a different department and told me that the upgrade does not appear in the on-line upgrade. But the department I was transferred to told me that they cannot pick up anything on their side. I asked whether they were using the same system, and I was told YES. So how can two departments see different things if they working on the same system? How can one department see my upgrade bu the initial department htat put processed the upgrade cannot see the upgrade on the system? How does that work?

I'm so upset and have decided to move to a different service provider. I have had it with Vodacom and their useless customer service employees, including the ones based in the stores.
