Disappointed by Vodacom once again!
I am a RED BUSINESS CUSTOMER with Vodacom and have been doing business with them for a few years now.
We have moved offices in September last year to Moroleta Park, Pretoria and had been battling with reception for months. I had phoned them last year and lodged the complaint where I was told they would test the lines and then come and install a signal booster if needed. We had to phone quite a few times for them to come and test the lines as they promised. No one came so we had to first lose our toys for them to phone me again. I was then phoned by a lady from Vodacom telling me that they can supply a booster but unfortunately have run out of boosters.
I run a business for a Botswana company and I am TOTALLY relying on my cell phone for business. Customers cannot hear me and I cannot hear them. One would never say I am staying in the middle of Gauteng. Imagine the frustration being with such a large Network and having this frustration?
I then lodged a complaint with hellopeter and a kind lady (MRS CHETTY) phoned me in January to hear if the signal was better. It was indeed and I do not know what they did. It was three glorious weeks of being able to hear and run a business. Till last Monday...
Customers hear every second and tenth word and visa versa. It is madness!!!!!!!! How can I run a business like this? Every single call that I do not receive or miss, means I am losing business and soon would not be able to pay my contract with you VODACOM!!!!
My daughter is with MTN and she has no problem at all with signal at my business!!!
I first phoned the Vodacom office this morning and was then told that I had to speak to the Network people. How do I manage to get hold of them I ask? No, mam, you have to mail them. Nope, there will be no mailing. There is no time. (Mrs Chetty said I must phone her if I ever have problem again. You see she made us feel important and that she cared...) Eventually I am transferred to the network division but unfortunately for me, Mrs Chetty is not in. I speak to Alec...
Alec says to me that there is a signal problem in this area and they will be installing towers here in Moroleta Park area in the year. (They are planning to do so.) I tell him I cannot wait till the towers are built as I have a business to run and would then need to change my network (we have 4 business contracts) with Vodacom. He says I can buy a booster from Vodacom as they sell them where there is bad signal for the Vodacom customers.
Now my question is, HOW DO YOU SELL A VODACOM BUSINESS CONTRACT WHERE YOUR CUSTOMER CANNOT DO BUSINESS?
So now, after paying an arm and a leg on the contracts, I also have to now buy a booster because my network supplier cannot supply a proper signal in the middle of Pretoria. (If it was Pofadder well that I can understand) But this is Gauteng, Pretoria.
I am told by Alec, that I am welcome to cancel my Vodacom contracts (4) and he will mail me the cancellation forms straight away. I do not have to worry about the number changing on my business cards, I can keep the numbers... Is that how Vodacom cares for their customers.
You see Alec, an unhappy customer is a dangerous customer. It will not just be me you are losing because there are quite a few people living in my area. But on the other hand maybe you have enough customers so you can afford to lose some.
I am very very very disappointed and sad for the way that I have been treated today. I chose VODACOM for my business communication because I felt save with them... O what a surprise!!
This is a shame.
In this area MTN has reception. Telkom installs boosters for their customers free of charge. Vodacom says hang in there for a few months. While you cannot communicate with you customers that buy from you. (I mainly do sales per phone all over SA, as my customers are all over because I sell facebricks)
Well done Vodacom!
I feel so important and special. This will not be the last you will be hearing from me. I promise!
