Disappointed and Misled

I upgraded my cell phone contract a few days ago at Vodacom. I went for a 2GB contact with a fee 10GB once off. Quite an expensive contract. I specifically signed the documents on 31 January 2017 assuming that the contract would be upgraded immediately. After a day or two, i notice my new data had not been forthcoming. I phoned Vodacom, only to be told that i'm still on my old contract and it will only be migrated at the end of February. Nobody told me this and previously it always worked on a "Pro Rata" basis. I took delivery of my new phone and now i have no data! In fairness, i could have been informed that i had missed the cut off and my data wouldn't be available until the end of the month. I have never heard of upgrading the handset a month before the contract itself? When phoning the actual store where i did the upgrade this morning, they told me it takes a day or two to kick in? Now they have a different story to that of the call centre!? I'm really not impressed and i don't think that Vodacom is treating the customer fairly in this case. I have been with Vodacom for many years and i am bitterly disappointed.
