Disappointed again and again

Just had some guy from Vodacom call and try to understand what had happened to my parents and their account. He refused to understand. The story is simple. My father was in arrears with Vodacom and after paying up the account, he called in to cancel the account. Upon doing that, he was lured into an upgrade. So he said yes - BUT he did not want to pay a high amount. Everything with the Vodacom consultant was discussed and he specifically told them that he was ****** of his phone a while back so he does not have his sim card anymore and asked the Consultant to please contact him on his wife's number. His expectations was clear - "Call on my wife's phone to conclude the agreement, courier the new phone and sim card to the address provided." According to Vodacom, they tried to call him on his number....the one he does not have and mentioned to the Consultant. So since they could not get a hold of him on his lost number they defaulted back to the contract and he now owes Vodacom R999 for September 2019. So I get a call from a guy just now who not only told me that I am "hovering" over a topic, I was also told "I have no leg to stand on" and first he said he cannot let me read the recorded conversation between my dad and the consultant to clear up any misunderstandings, then he said he can send it to the shop. After which, he could not deal with my questions absolutely refused to send the conversation. So much for transparency? Got to ask the question Vodacom - Is this how you train people to work for you? So disappointed.... What is the issue, can you not just show us the conversation and be fair? The truth is the truth. If this was a mistake by us, fine. If it was a Vodacom mistake then you can rectify. Ofcourse, this was so hard for the Consultant to deal with. He could not control his emotions when being posed with fair question.

Dear Vodacom

The query has not been resolved. I have requested the details of the conversation between my father and the Consultant and your company is refusing to send this to the nearest Vodacom office because the guy who called me yesterday got too emotional. The proof is in the pudding. Show us the dialogue that happened. Vodacom was specifically asked to contact my father on his alternative number and these instructions were not followed. Despite having an email address, no contact was made. Now he is being charged for a cellphone and a line that he does not have. Over and above that, the contract was running month to month after it's 2 year period. The worst part is that Vodacom never questioned whether he is financially able to afford his exisiting contract. He is no longer working and is a pensioner - why would you offer the same contract? Is this how you treat someone who has been a good customer for over 20 years?
