dirty advertising, among other things

I had a 2 GB top-up data plan on my tablet. I went for the upgrade after the contract finished, for a new tab but exactly the same 2 GB top up package.

However, nobody mentioned beforehand that any existing data would disappear (3.85 GB just vanished). Apparently the vodacom store personnel were not aware of that new rule, so they said afterwards. Also, the supposed same 2 GB package is no longer the same - with the upgrade it changed to 1 GB with 1 GB on this totally useless to most people, night owl. Vodacom - most people do not stay awake after midnight to use there phones. It should not be on the mainstream sales - maybe an added extra. I checked the booklet - and there it was - 2 GB. Only on the next page, in small print did it mention night owl. The shop people also said it caught them out at first too. This is dirty, underhand advertising Vodacom, and not worthy of you. But here's the best bit - when I said then, put it on the 4 GB so I can actually get my 2 GB that I wanted, back - they said it was not possible !!!!

Other branches have said similar things. This is beyond pathetic. Vodacom please sort this out, or I will be removing all my accounts (9) to other ISP's as they run out.

I would like my 3.85 GB back - that is unfair, as already paid for and within the time limits Had it been mentioned up-front, I would not have gone for the contract at that time. I would also like a full 2 GB package please, not this night-owl fob-off nonsense.

Peter

Still nothing. I wouldn't have thought even a big company like Vodacom could afford to lose it's long-term customers this way. After all, you don't have the best prces, or the best deals; and there is plenty of cellular competition out there...
