Different Stories from Different Service Operators - Don't know your facts about your products. False advertising and incorrect information given to Clients.

I am really not happy with Vodacom at the moment. I have been a loyal client for many years and although Vodacom is more expensive than the other service providers I did not mind paying more, since Vodacom's Customer Service was always excellent, until my recent experience. I have a SIM Only contract which I would have canceled but was convinced not to when I called the cancellations department to cancel both contracts at the time, this was about a month ago. I wanted to go with a different, cheaper service provider, but unfortunelty they also didn't live up to expectation. I then went online to the Vodacom site and app**** for another contract, Device and SIM contract. I took the Huawei P20 Lite package with Smart XS plan with Dual SIM Exclusive Online Offer. This is a DUAL SIM phone, with means I could put both of my Vodacom sim cards into my new Vodacom Dual SIM device. My phone was delivered and I was very impressed with how the delivery was handled. However, when I put both of my VODACOM SIM CARDS into my new VODACOM device, only SIM Card 1 picks up. I then called the call center yesterday to inquire why this is and was told it's because the new number has not yet been activated. The lady then activated it and told me to wait for 1 to 24 hours, then shut down the phone, take out the SIM cards and put them back into the phone. Today when I did exactly as instructed, still only SIM card 1 picked up. I called again and was told that Vodacom does not support DUAL Sim Cards. I was shocked? WHY NOT? Why then advertise a dual sim card phone if you cannot make use of its functionality? You should state in bold on your side that you do not support dual sim functionality and also state the reason why Vodacom is so behind with new technology developments. After explaing my frustration to the lady on the line, I was then told to call after sales on another number so that I can transfer the benefits from my new Device and Sim Contract to my primary number which everyone uses to contact me on (SIM Only) contract. She said they can do it for me and they will also explain to me how I can then thereafter do it myself each month when I get my benefits. I called, AGAIN, where this new lady told me that you can't transfer benefits from one number to another. Again, miss information is given to me. I was transferred 4 different times, each time to a different department to someone telling me a different story. Seems like no one know exactly what to do or who I should be speaking to and transferring me made it someone else's problem right? BAD Customer SERVICE!!! You obviously don't know your own processes and your staff is providing incorrect information to your clients. I am beyond angry and really very unhappy with your service in this regard. I have always been a fan of Vodacom and their service so this to me is extra disappointing. Will definitely not be recommending you to anyone anymore or be giving you good feedback after calls. Get your facts straight and communicate it to ALL your staff so that you have one TRUE story to tell and not 10 different variations from 10 different staff members. I would like to know what you plan on doing now for me? I was told it's a DUAL SIM Device, which it's not. I was then after that told I could transfer the benefits from my one number to the other, the need being to my primary number, which I also can't. So what now? I am not going to open up my SIM Slot on my Device and move them around manually if I run out of data and/or data on the one and want to use the other. Also, when I get contacted on my primary number, SIM Only and I am using the new SIM, it then says ... "The subscriber you have dialed is unavailable at present. Please try again later.". This is going to cause me missing important calls. I want the benefits that are on my new Device Contract (Most Benefits) to be transferred to my primary, known SIM Only number as I was told could happen. OR I want the second SIM Slot unlocked on my new Device so that I can make use of the Dual SIM functionality. Get with the times Vodacom, what is your reason anyway for not allowing Dual SIM functionality? I mean, I have 2 VODACOM SIM CARDS on top of that too. Shouldn't be that complicated, sure you can work it out, other Service Providers does. Pathetic and behind with technology to say the least. Please advise on what you plan to do for me given all these circumstances? I want either of the 2 options actioned urgently! This is totally Unacceptable. And here is a perfect example, I am asked for a contact number, which should I give, well try both, look it up, if that also isn't to hard for you to do.

So the answer I got was basically to just deal with it, there is nothing you can do for me. Someone did call me from a very very bad line and we kept getting cut off. After the 3rd time, no one ever called back. what a joke, there is no such thing as customer service in this country anymore. Very very unhappy and I do not recommend Vodacom at all and never will again in the future!
