Device Repair for 3 months?

We took our device, which fell on the ground, to Vodacom Kolonade in the beginning of December 2016. It was booked in for repairs. We have insurance on the device. this was all confirmed in store. later on in December they called once to ask if they could carry on with the repair as they got the quote ready. As we were on Holiday, we missed the call. They did not send an SMS or try to call again so when we got back from our holiday the phone was still at the store at Kolonade. Again we went through the whole procedure to get it booked for repairs. It was supposed to take 3 weeks to get it repaired. it is now almost 6 weeks later. When we call the store now they all have excuses about starting there in January and not knowing about the case etc etc etc. They do not call back to explain what is going on and if we dont call then we will probably never get the device back....

On the 10th of March 2017, we went back to the Vodacom store in Kolonade.
At first we asked the "Technician" about our phone. We did not have the documents with us as we did not plan to go there. While almost laying on the table this guy says he cannot do anything without the document with the IMEI nr. So we go to the Branch Manage, ask her the same question and without hesitation she start to see whats going on. We give her the Cellphone number and "Bob's your Uncle". Ok, so now she get the phone from the back. Still not repaired. Aparently the Insurance company sent it back. So why did no one from the store contact us to say that the phone is back in the store and the process is ongoing? Why has Vodacom Head Office not sent the email they promised and why do we still have to pay for a product we cannot use?
We took the phone and will take it to the Vodacom Repair Centre our selves and on our expense. Maybe this is Vodacoms plan.
Keep *****ing the paying customer!!!!
