Destorying customers credit ratings without their knowledge

From October last year I started receiving phone calls from a debt collectors telling me that I have been handed over for failure to pay Vodacom. Despite numerous phone calls to the Vodacom call centres and stores no one could provide with any information and kept reassuring that everything was in order and to ignore these debt collectors Hammond Pole Attorneys. Only in January 2018 when I tried to apply for personal finance I was informed that I was listed on ITC. I have been with Vodacom with the same number for 15 years and not once did Vodacom inform me of any outstanding amounts despite me Upgrading in May 2017 and going through my contracts with them. I have finalised the amount owing on 11 January 2018 and today Vodacom has not updated my credit profile on ITC despite dca.collections@vodacom being informed by Thando Mkhatshwa Hammond Pole Attorneys from 11 January 2018 that this account was settled.
