Deplorable service on new contract

A sales agent from Vodacom phoned me on the 18th of November and offered me a new contract on a wifi router, which I decided to accept. On Friday morning 25/11/16 I received the package. In the afternoon I phoned, spoke to Fatima, and requested activation of the sim. She said it will be activated and should be active by Monday or Tuesday. Tuesday, 29/11/16 it was still not active and I called again. I spoke to a Thabiso and later again to a Mzwaki. On the 1st call I received such attitude from the girl, that when she put me on hold, I just cut the call. I was informed that it does not take 48-72hrs for activation, but it takes a full week! I have never heard of an activation that takes that long. When I questioned, she said that it was not her department that gave incorrect information. I said that it is not about department, but about service from Vodacom as a company. She wanted to know if I want them to come and fetch the parcel again since I'm not happy. But that is not what I requested and as well questioned. When I cut the call, I called back at about 13:13 and spoke to Mzwaki. She again assured me that it takes a week for activation. I accepted that and waited. Come Friday 02/12/16, it was still not active. Giving them the benefit again, I waited till Sat 03/12/16 and phoned again. The girl I spoke to was still taking my ID when my call was redirected to the survey section. I phoned back again at 10:00 and spoke to Denzel. after the whole security clearance and holding on for a while, he came back to inform me their systems are currently down and can I phone back after 30mins. I phoned back after an hour and at 11:25 I spoke to Charmaine. She accessed the account and informed me that the sim was never activated, but she has then requested activation and it will take 2-5 working days. So I have a wifi router for 10 days already and not being able to use it whatsoever. I have been a Vodacom customer since the late 90's, but have not recieved service (or lack of) to this extend yet.
