Demanding freedom of choice for a paid service (free your customer)
I have a top-up contract with Vodacom, and looking to lower my monthly costs which is not possible without an exorbitant migration fee. Even to cancel a contract, that I do not owe them anything for, will be over R3600. Why should we be made to suffer through a contract period with no freedom to change or cancel?
Take some notes from companies like Afrihost, who allow customers this choice.
Reduce your data costs, and give your customers the freedom of choice! Sure we can agree that if I take a device for a period this should be paid for, but monthly data and call-time is service that I pay for and should be able to decide what I want.

19 Jun 2020, 10:09Thanks for your response, and I thank the kind people at customer care who went out their way to help me, however, this is not in their hands as the costs are determined from the system, so the systems need to be adjusted to accommodate the changing needs of your customer. Almost every other service I subscribe to currently allows for easy changes and cancellations of the subscription except Vodacom. Right now I can only change my package if I pay R1500 and to cancel its R3600. How does it make sense to charge this for a person to stop a service they are paying for? These practices are outdated and need to change. Free me please.
