On 10 March 2015 I went to transfer an existing contract to my name (since it's currently in my mother's name). I went to the Vodacom4U store in Kolonnade and explained to the sales consultant that I want to upgrade as soon as possible, because the phone I have now (Nokia Lumia) broke and I thought that servicing the phone will take too long. The Nokia I have uses a mini sim, so no other older phone I still have can be used as replacement - I am thus without a phone.
All the transfer of ownership papers were completed, though I am still waiting on feedback as to whether or not the transfer went through, or even how long this will take. The sales consultant took my husband's number to contact him the following day but we had to call the consultant and ask how far the process is, instead of him informing us. This has been the norm the last week: if we want information, we have to call them. In my opinion, this is not how a sales consultant should treat his clients.
I am disappointed with the slack service Vodacom has shown in this process and I expect to be treated better as I am a loyal customer to Vodacom.
