Delay to cancel my contract

I had a top-up contract (R350 top-up) with Vodacom where i have been paying in advance every month, like they debit my account on the 20th then i get my airtime on the 1st on next month, that contract expired June/July this year, then it was month-to-month contract (Automatic without my consent) ok no problem, the problem started when 01st November I decided to cancel it. the first call i was holding on for about 45 min without a consultant listening to that awful music, when they finally answered their consultant diverted my call back to the call centre when I told her i want to cancel the contract. I called again now in my car driving to Rustenburg about an hour drive, I was on hold until i got to Rustenburg, nomakanji i cancelling this thing. finally they answered manage to help me cancel the contract ..so i thought .. before the 20th went to the bank cancel the debit order. Come 1st December i get the top-up airtime (R350) i tried calling them, by the fourth call (Each call you hold on for 30 - 45 min) i explained my story and their said the person who was supposed to process my request then they didn’t so the only way they can help me is to process another request for cancellation but for the 31 December 2016 meaning i need to pay for nov and dec, to which i told them it won’t happen, eventually they said they will take my request to the back office to processed there but the cancellation date will depend on the back office. as of today haven’t received any respond or communication if my request is processed.

For the passed few days i have been getting calls from their collection office asking when i m going to paying my overdue amount of R400 and something (R360 for the contract amount and +-R130 for unsuccessful debit order) ok cool, yesterday i spoke to them and explain my story, which they were not interested in all they want is their money, i must sort out my stories with cancellation department, if don’t pay they will take me to ICT and close my number.

As of the 15th December 2016 my number is blocked, i cant make calls, sms, whtsup, internet, anything ..

Vodacom le BORA MOREKI

I thought this nightmare was over when Rashieda from Vodacom in December 2016, send me a mail to confirm that my account has been credited and cleared, but nooooo until I decided to request a credit report from those credit bureau this month (April 2017), apparently I have an due account/ amount which is due for more than 90 days as at march 2017, starting from December 2016 (30 days overdue)
Firstly, they decided to list me while I m still disputing the amount due, But the National credit act section 129 has a different approach. AND definitely VODACOM decided to do its own thing as usual.
Second: I send a mail to Rashieda on the 06 April 2017 and reply and says, they will process the last credit, I don’t know what does that mean but clear it doesn’t say anything about my credit record at the bureau. After few mails, he/ she said I must call bureau and sort it out with them.
My biggest questions:
- Why is that easy for services/ credit providers to report you at the bureau, they just do it willy nilly. KE KO MME GAMPONE.
- If they incorrectly reported me at bureau, why should I have to deal with bureau to clear my name?
- If its “my credit report/ record” why don’t I have any say or at least be informed what has been report.
