Déjà vu

On 12 May I received a phone call from a Vodacom telemarketer. She offered me a renewal of my main contract and to boot a new router with 10GIG a month, all for the exact same amount that I was paying at that stage on my main contract. I accepted. When I received my first statement which showed the new router I realized that I had been taken for a ride. My new account is R991,00, at least R200 more than my old account. I went to see Vodacom in Langeberg Mall today. I learned that I was paying an additional 199.14 (excl. VAT) on the new router. I was also informed that my main contract is only due for renewal January '22. They furthermore told me that Vodacom had been running a deal of R199,00 for 20GIG p/m for a long time. I had been had thoroughly and comprehensively! Please listen to the tape and you will hear what I mean. This is the second time round that I had been bamboozled by a Vodacom telemarketer.

Reviewer Update
My review of 28 August and Vodacom's reply on 2 Sep refers. I was phoned by a consultant from Vodacom and promised:
1. That I would be refunded in full for costs of the router backdated.
2. The contract would be cancelled with immediate effect.

However, I have not been refunded yet and the contract is still in effect. I also did not receive any data on that contract for the month of September. I request Vodacom to make good their promises with immediate effect.

Regards
Berend
