Deformation of credit record
Vodacom doesn't care about the customer it only cares about the moneys. I have been in a contract with them since 2019. In 2021 when i want to upgrade I am told to pay up front. My contract has never been in arrears. To top it all none of their employees is able to fix this mess. I tried getting to the bottom of this with the call centre and the physical store.

10 Jun 2021, 14:01Dear Vodacom
Thank you for the reply.
When your sales agent called me to get me to take up a contract with Vodacom I qualified for an iPhone 6 and for as long as my contract was with Vodacom I honored the contract.
In June 2020 I was due for an upgrade. Your call center agent called me for an upgrade (I wonder which device was going to be suggested to me since now my portfolio is low) and I declined the offer and rather asked for a cancellation due to COVID-19 uncer*****y. Your agent suggested that I don't cancel the contract incase I wanted a new device in the near future. I trusted her and went with her advice. she indicated to me that keeping my account active with Vodacom, sim card and number the day I decide to get a new device I will not have to pay for initiation fee and have 2 different Vodacom numbers and sim cards - which made sense. I was give a package of R79 a month - only to find out that her advice dented my Vodacom portfolio and credit record on all network providers when now " in the near future" I want to upgrade alternatively move to another network.
I understand that Vodacom wont upgrade me to the device I would have qualified for had your agent not dented my portfolio with Vodacom and the rest of the network providers. I request that you amend my credit record in this regard because I pay my 3 debts on time - by debit order including the R79.00 Vodacom contract. My credit record is in order.
FYI I called Vodacom today 10 June 2021 for the lower portfolio devices that I suddenly qualify for... I was suggested a Samsung A 35 device for R549 for 24 months. The iPhone 11, online is R499 for 36 month which I initially wanted. At the time I wanted to upgrade to any iPhone I was told to pay upfront R7000.00 which is total wrong!
I believe all calls are recorded as indicated by the agents. Therefore please refer back to the June 2020 calls and 10 June 2021 Upgrade department at about 13h00.
I look forward to hearing from you.
