Defective Samsung A73

Visited the Vodacom store at Liberty Mall to report an error on my phone showing moisture and foreign particles detected. Was advised the phone needs to be booked in for assessment and the turnaround time is 7-14 working days.

I dropped of the phone on the 28 Sept, And then received a message on the 3 Oct saying I'm liable for a cost of R1148.00

I contacted the repair center to query the sms received and was advised the phone is out of warranty, I had requested the fault report and assessment report which I am still awaiting.

A quote was emailed to me and I was advised the ticket will be closed until I accept the quote or make payment.

When booking in the phone I was not informed I will be liable for the cost of repairs nor was I advised the unit is out of warranty.

The unit is 10 months old, And based on reviews on the Samsung website there is a number of complaints related to the same fault.

Please can I be provided the fault report and assessment report, And proof that the unit has liquid damage, Please also provide me with a complaint ref number and the Ombudsman details.
