Defective Product
Jan 2014 I took a Samsung tablet contract my niece for school, in Sept 2014, the charging port was broken, took in for repairs at Nashua and was billed R1500 for the repairs. While it was in the repairs I lost the sim and did a sim swop. The Sim slot was not locking in, thought there was a problem with a sim card, same problem. Dec I took it in to Vodacom Lake side I was told the slot is broken and was quoted R2500 for repairs. I rejected the quote, spoke to the manager and explain the sequence of events and he promised to follow up with Nashua and the Vodacom. Since this tablet is used for school I tool back the tablet in January with the understanding the issue will be followed up. I'm still waiting. I have sent numerous emails to the repair center and to Vodacom customer care, still no answer. In the mean time I'm paying for both the data and the tablet. There is no logical explaination that this unit would have one problem after the other. I have 7 contracts and not once have I had a problem with a devise, surely I know how to charge to insert a sim card.
