Defected goods sold
On the 1st of April 2023, I purchased the then newly released Samsung A54 at Vodacom and then I began to notice some problems with it like overheating while charging and battery running down much faster than my Samsung S7 which was purchased in 2016. I then decided to take it back to Vodacom Longbeach during it's Out Of Box failure period on the 5th of April 2023 and it got book in for inspection, in the 20th of April 2023 it was returned to the store with a rejected Out Of Box Failure and then I took it and made use of it for 2 days as the Manger Kashief adviced me to test it one last time and see if I experience the same fault of which I unfortunately did and then on the 25th I returned it once again and the same process was done. The same feedback was given and it got rejected. The manger then took the phone ran some tests himself as he said and used the device a couple of times and he said he didn't pick up anything however he sent it in again for the third time to the repair centre on and was of which they received the device again on the 12th of May 2023. The manager then said the repair tech will use the device and install some apps of his own and take the device home to see if he picks up anything and furthermore cleared all the data on the device on the third booking. It's now the 18th of May and the device is still with Vodacom and the Manger is refusing to change the device cause of the feedback he recieved from the repair centre. In other words I bought a device Cash for the price of R9597.00 and I've only had less than 10 days contact with it for the past month and a half. The device was used more by other people than the rightful owner and they can't change it though I'm telling them that it has a problem. Whatever happened to "CUSTOMERS IS ALWAYS RIGHT"?
I'm very upset and I'm now at a point where I just want my money back. I've taken the phone back yet again but nothing has been done and it is two weeks, I either want another phone or my money back as I returned it within 7days which is withing the consumers act
