Deductions from Account and bad service

About a month ago I upgraded my Vodacom Contract. I chose a cheaper package. Last night a debit order went off for R1 104.51. This morning I phoned Vodacom to explore why my bill is so high! A lady at the support team Martha was so rude and not willing to help in any way. She kept urging me to rather go to the store and sort it out there.

I am still sitting here with no answer to my problem. I will probably be told everything that I asked about was stated in the fine print of my contract. This is the way we treat customers now. And me leaving Vodacom will not even hurt them.

I found out the following:

- Vodacom has still, after two years not updated my account details from my mother to me. This after I filled out multiple forms to get the contract into my name.

- I have been paying instalment costs and data costs on 2 'FREE' portable Wi-Fi devices after I asked Vodacom will I be paying anything. They kept on ensuring me that this is not the case. They are giving this to me totally free for being a loyal customer over the years. This actually made me an excellent brand ambassador. This made me even more loyal. In this time I have been telling everyone about this great service that you guys have. Meanwhile the joke is on me.

- I have been paying extra money because my previous contract hasn't ended yet. This seems logical but no one ever told me that this is the case or communicated anything about this to me. What is the use then of upgrading earlier if this is the case. I can learn to accept this but why hasn't it been communicated to the customer that these are the instalments left that still needs to be paid so that one can budget for this.

-Lastly when taking over the contract 2 years back I took 1GB of data additional asking them to remove the 250mb of data on my account. I also found out this morning that this has been on my account the whole time.

So please Vodacom you have my account details you clearly have the authority to take whatever you want out of my account so please keep on doing this. Take more. Suck me dry! This is what you do to your customers.
