Declined Vodacom insurance claim over sim-card issues.

I am very disappointed with Vodacom. My Huawei P8 lite (2017) cellphone was insured under vodacom insurance. The phone was then lost on the 8th of August 2019. I tried claiming for a new phone which declined over issues of sim-card being removed from the cellphone. What I don't understand is why was I not told about this when I took the insurance because I would have never removed the sim card if I knew. I was never even given a chance to go through the whole agreement/contract. I was Paying for insurance for over 19 months so that I can be told this sh#t. I am very disappointed and angry at their service.
