Decline to repair a replaced refurbished unit

I have sent my 9720 for repairs and was replaced with a refurbished unit by vodacom midrand.2 to 3 weeks later, the new handset stops charging.Send for repairs, only to receive confirmation that there is physical damage, and out of warranty and i need to pay R850 to repair. I send through to escalations on 18/03/2015, they respond on 24th and send me a picture of internal damage stating i then respond saying its a replaced unit, and no physical damage evidenced on the outside (so how is it possible for inside to be damaged), and would like a manager to contact me-as i can understand physical damage on an old phone, but not something for 2 to 3 weeks old. emails dated 24 march and 30 march was ignored, when i call they inform me to send email to same email address. and on 31/03/2015 receive an sms stating repair quote was declined, and handset being returned unfixed. Tried calling and emailing, but cannot speak to anyone that can respond or assist - call centre says its out of their hands, and refers me to email address.. Really unnacceptable.
