Deceptive Vodacom dissapoints once again!

If you do not understand the terminology on data or any other topic be extra vigilant! Do not trust a consultants word either. Double check your contracts and make sure EVERYTHING is on paper.

My terrible experience started with Data Contract that was not a Top up as requested and my son ran an account up to R2000. Vodacom contacted me eventually, only after I complained on Hello Peter last year. My hope was restored, but this was short lived:

1. The above mentioned data contract that was not what I requested was settled and I never used it again as I was sure that it was cancelled! It seems that although they admitted it to be the wrong contract it was never canceled on their side as they had nothing in writing!!!! - Seriously - is Hello Peter complaint that you settle not enough WRITING for you.

2. I found out that I am still paying for the above when I had to scrutinize my my statements after recieving a sms and email that I am in arrears. My mistake to place back all the trust after being a customer for more than 20 years. So after upgrading in December (another bad experience because I trusted the consultant and did not read my contract before leaving the outlet - my own fault)I recieved the same statement with the same amount every month until this week. As per advice from the consultant, I have every month converted airtime into data as I use more data than airtime. He showed me as I did mention that I am not farmi**** with the latest technology!!!!!! This was done using 111 service. It was fine until last month. Vodacoms reply: "The data was activated on the cellphone using the USSD (e.g *111#)" IF I UNDERSTOOD WHAT THIS MEANT I WOULD NOT HAVE DONE IT - WHY DID IT NOW CHANG? the reply further read: "Your 1GB MI Month-to-Month - TopUp has been activated. To view balances, buy bundles & save dial *111# or visit vodacom.mobi." so please mam dont complain!!!!! I RECEIVE 100'S OF SMS'S FROM VODACOM - WHY WOULD THIS ONE THAT I ONLY SAW "TOP UP" (My understanding being you dont get billed - if you dont have airtime you cant get data!!!!!!!) now mean that data is all of a sudden charged to my account!!!!!

Sorry for not understanding your teminology and for not being up to date on technology! Untill my contracts are expired, I will make sure that I do not use anything that Vodacom says would make life easier as you only use these methods to deceive your clients!

My account has now been suspended because of the +- R200 that I owe. I am a single mom and now not able to make any calls and do not have any other way of contacting anyone in case of an emergency!

I will not awnser any calls as I learnt my lesson with that - what was said was confiniently forgotten so please answer me in writing!

Something else for vodacom to look into. After my last software upgrade on my phone I can now identify incoming calls and your number +27 ********** - shows **** OR ***** on my phone!!!! Should you need this info (I made a screen shot that can be sent) contact me via EMAIL as I do not trust any calls made from Vodacom and I want all my dealings from now on in writing.
