Deceiving of customers - early upgrade
I received an sms to say I am due for an upgrade on 18 March. I called Vodacom who said I may upgrade at any time in that month. I therefore went to the Eastgate Vodacom store and arranged to buy the new phone.<br> After all the paperwork was signed and the new phone was in front of me I am presented with a final paper. A payment to settle my contract which is not yet paid off??? But I am due for an upgrade? No they tell me. You have just upgraded 3 months early! I then called Vodacom - the lady on the other end said \This is written into the business rules". SO? It is OK to deceive customers by writing it into the business rules? Either: 1) Use the word \""early\"" throughout the upgrade process - the sms that is sent or when the customer calls in to find out when the upgrade is due"
