Debits post premature contract cancelation
I opted to transfer my number to Cell S using their Contract Buy Out. I admittedly did not read through the initial quote that Vodacom sent and thought that the contact would automatically by cancelled from their side one the number has been transferred, but, this was wrong. On 2/12/2015 I spoke to a retention agent Thabiso Mo***eng who confirmed that the contract was cancelled and that there would be no other deductions. This after I was billed for a further two months for a number I no longer had, but paid for. Once again during December I received another debit. I had a quick call where the retention department explained what I had to do and they sent a new quote. I asked as to whether that would be the final payment and it was confirmed. I paid it immediately and sent all the paperwork through on 11/12/2015. I received a confirmation of cancellation on 17/12/2015. My account was once again debited 1/1/2016. I once again called the retention department and was consequently redirected to accounts. After a short discussion with an agent with no results.... Please refund the amount that was deducted on 1/1/2016 and ensure that there are no other debits forthcoming.
