Debiting my account without permission

I have never experienced such incompetency as I did over the past week from Vodacom - terrible terrible customer service!!

Vodacom decide to change my debit order date as I changed my bank details with them. After phoning the call centre the first thing that were made very clear to me is that I must be aware that my services will be suspended if I do not go and make a payment, as a result of a debit order returned - one day before my monthly salary - the 21st. Then I must also listen to this elaborate discussion (from 2 consultants) that you get a call centre but I must phone the accounts department and this department cannot help with this query as the other department must etc. etc. etc. - and me on this side of the line still to have no joy.

Apparently within 24 hours Vodacom will contact me, after my query was eventually escalated - still waiting. After phoning AGAIN this morning it was made very clear (again) that I must go and pay otherwise they will suspend my service and charge me a R100 penalty. With that 'warning' I was again transferred to another department as this service consultant was again not able to assist me - she could not even recognise the reference number I have received via Vodacom per SMS!!! Thank goodness that my contract with Vodacom is finished later this year as I will definitely not associate myself with such incompetency and bad service any longer.
