debited for "content services" and Vlive, carefull
Since May my account with Vodacom has increased. When I checked my bill, I noticed "content services" and Vodafone live costs being deducted from my account. I pay by debit order so this money has been taken. I called the customer care centre who cannot explain to what these services are for. One call centre agent told me it was for data. I challenged the agent siting my once off data purchases reflected on my account. Only when a data salesperson called me that she explained to me what "content services" is. I was supposed to "opt in" to "incredible videos" who was supposed to send me daily videos which I am supposed to pay R20 a day for. It is in reply to an opt in I did. I never opted in to anything. I have never received a video. I asked what "Vodafone live" is and to this day no-one has been able to explain to me what it is for and why I pay R 269 a month for it. To date Vodacom has taken more than R 2000 out of my bank account for these services. Vodacom customer care tell me to call WASPA who are the "content" providers. I call them, their number is engaged and when I finally got through after more than 15 attempts I got a message to leave a message. I have been calling Vodacom customer care for the past two weeks just to get someone to call me back and say, we understand your plight and explain to me why I cannot get a refund on this. Vodacom send me an SMS saying they will give me back R500. Vodacom or WASPA CANNOT prove to me where and how I opted in to their services and refuse to explain to me how the system works. I suspect a deliberate attempt to take money and hope that no-one notices and deal slowly with those who complain. CHECK YOUR BILL!!!!!
